With its appearance at the 31st Blickfang Stuttgart, nomo presented itself to a broad design audience for the first time. The renowned fair for independent product, furniture, and interior design — curated by Sebastian Herkner — brought together selected labels, manufacturers, and designers from German-speaking countries.
Surrounded by smaller design studios and producers, nomo showcased its modular furniture systems at its own booth, focusing on flexible shelving solutions, variable grids, and individually configurable spatial structures. Around 21,000 visitors used the fair days to discover new furniture concepts, compare materials, and engage directly with exhibitors.
The trade fair provided an ideal platform to communicate the single-rod principle and the systems’ wide range of applications — from residential spaces to office and reception areas, as well as retail and exhibition environments. Architects, interior designers, and end customers explored compartment dimensions, material combinations, and modular extensions on site.
Beyond visibility, personal exchange was the main focus. Direct feedback from planners, retailers, and users clearly showed that interest in durable, adaptable furniture systems is growing — especially in contexts where spaces need to be conceived flexibly.
For nomo, Blickfang Stuttgart marked not only its first trade fair appearance, but also the beginning of direct dialogue with a design-savvy public — and an important step toward building brand presence in contemporary furniture and interior design.
